Dear ICC Church, We have changed the date of a Special Meeting of the congregation that will now be held immediately after the worship service on Sunday 30th March 2025. After prayer and discussion, the Council would like to unanimously recommend that the church extend John Basson's contract for a further three years as from May 2026, subject to visa approval. This would allow John time to pray through this invitation and ensure that the church is able to timeously submit the necessary documentation for the visa extension.The Bassons have been with ICC since May 2023 under a 3-year contract, and their Tier 2 visa will expire in May 2026. A renewal visa process may take several months to process, but we would like the church's approval to go ahead, subject to an affirmative response from John. The special election of a Senior Pastor at ICC rests with the congregation. Our Bylaws state that we need 51% of the members voting in person or by proxy, with a 75% majority of the votes cast. All Members and Associate Members of the International Community Church are invited to vote. We can accept balloted, posted and emailed votes. We cannot accept verbal votes. 1.
